This thumb splint immobilizes the lower joints in the thumb (CMC and MCP) to relieve pain and speed healing from injuries. It has ventilation holes for breathability, and it's shaped to avoid pressure spots in the thumb-forefinger area. It is made of rigid plastic and comes with a soft cotton sleeve to be worn under the brace. Made in Germany.

Careful washing will prolong the life of the brace. Remove all stays before washing. Hand wash with a non-detergent washing solution, and air dry (away from the sun and heating vents). Do not put the brace in the washing machine or dryer.

Great brace; small and lightweight but immobilizes just the right amount

I've had this brace (well, I replaced it recently with the same model) for about 5 years. It's great because it really allows my thumb tendon to rest and heal, but it's small and allows me to do everything I need to do. If I take off the sock, I an even use it while I wash dishes. All the alternative braces are bulky and awkward, and the velcro straps trash my sweaters. Not so with this one! SwiftBrace is the only company in North America that sells size small right now (August 2024) -- it can not be obtained in the US.

I have a lot of subluxation in the two joints targeted by this product and it's been hard to find something that works well. This is amazing! I will warn that if you have shorter thumbs (like myself) it will fit a bit different, but I find that the CMC-to-MCP length is still good.
