Plantar Fasciitis Night Sock
This sock keeps your foot stretched at a 90-degree angle while you sleep, which is imperative for healing from plantar fasciitis.
Why?
Most of us sleep with our feet pointed down. This causes the plantar fascia and achilles tendon to naturally relax and shorten throughout the night. When you get out of bed and take your first step, your foot goes back to a 90-degree angle, and the fascia ligament is now being pulled tight. If your plantar fascia has been strained or injured from overuse (aka plantar fasciitis), putting it into that stretched position will be very painful. Doing this re-agitates your already-inflamed plantar fascia.
If you continuously stretch your fascia ligament and calf muscle throughout the night, the ligament never gets a chance to shorten, so it isn't painful when you start walking around in the morning. This gives the plantar fascia a chance to heal over time.
